The Production
LiebDing is the dating app for the project Versuch über die nachhaltige Ordnung merkwürdiger Dinge. Within the German Federal Cultural Foundation’s Fonds Zero programme, ArtesMobiles and the Stadttheater Gießen are digitising the theatre’s prop store in a co-production, taking the audience on a search for the ghosts in the collection objects. Two works emerge from the project: the immersive theatre tour Versuch über die nachhaltige Ordnung merkwürdiger Dinge and the dating app LiebDing.
In the dating app LiebDing, audiences can get to know the objects of the prop store up close and personal in the foyer of the Stadttheater Gießen. Chatbots make the interaction possible: props, costumes and furniture are given a voice and strike up a conversation.
