Exploring the future of theater: Sustainability & Digital Innovation
Our project combines theater, technology and sustainability to explore new forms of storytelling in the digital age. As part of the Culture Moves Europe residency, we worked with innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality and immersive media to reimagine theatrical experiences.
We also developed experimental prototypes, including an AI-supported storytelling system. Our collaboration with our cooperation partner Roman Senkl, an expert in hybrid theater forms, enriched the project through knowledge transfer, practical workshops and artistic experiments. The residency gave us the space to test new ideas, develop prototypes and explore the limits of digital theater - a basis for future innovations.
Central themes: Digital twins, AI & theater, sustainable creativityTechnologies: mixed reality, interactive storytelling, large language models
Artistic team:
Anna Cingi (Stage Design), Birk Schmithüsen (Media Artist), Nina Maria Stemberger (Director), Meredith Thomas (Creative Coder)
